We checked out a new place today called The Pitaway. It's @ 8532 W. Pico Blvd, right next to Nick's Coffee . The menu has shawarma, lamb, chicken, kebab, falafel etc either in plate, pita, or wrap form. I went for the falafel pita which was delicious and they had spicy relish for it! (does anyone know the name of the relish?) Honestly, any falafel place where they smile is a step up in this neighborhood, so we happily welcome the Pitaway.They don't have a website or a blog, but you can check out their yelp page: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-pitaway-los-angeles

they make a FANTASTIC burger...when you order one, just as for "everything in red". trust me, you won't be disappointed.
