On Wednesday April 24, 2013 we attended Grand Opening ceremony for one of our projects - Normandie Terrace, a 66-unit affordable apartment building located in Korea Town in Los Angeles.
Cutting the official ribbon is Fabian Carreon, a Superintendent on this project. Behind him is American Communities team along with Sean Rogan, Executive Director, Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles.

Herb Wesson, Jr. (Council District 10) gave a inspirational speech about collaboration between private and public sectors to build a great project for the community.
Tom LaBonge (Council Disctrict 4) was also invited to share his experience with this project
The event turned out to be very popular with media and city officials
Mark Ridley-Thomas (County Supervisor 2nd District) presented American Communities with an Acheivement Certificate
Mercedes Marquez, Deputy Mayor of Housing talked about process and methods of acheiving funding for affordable projects
